Will slot right into the nickel back position.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/03/28/panthers-sign-brandon-boykin/

quote:

Cornerback Brandon Boykin has found his third team in the last eight months.

The Panthers announced that they signed Boykin to a one-year contract today. A 2012 fourth-round pick of the Eagles, Boykin was traded to the Steelers in August. He hit free agency after the season.

“I’ve watched Carolina and you can’t help but see how successful they’ve been in the defensive backfield with their style of play,” Boykin said. “I knew it would be a really good fit for me.”

Boykin should be the starting nickel corner in Carolina, with Josh Norman the No. 1 cornerback as soon as he gets a contract signed, and Bene Benwikerein set to be the other starter outside.

Upgrade over Courtland Finnegan. Solid pickup.

Nice signing. Sets the secondary up very well before the draft.

As if the Panthers needed more help on defense. I think Soliai will also be a good fit for Carolina as well.

To bad the best the Saints can sign is a washed up DT who peaked in college.

I had two classes with Boykin. He's an interesting cat. Always seemed super nice to me and was an absolute beast of toughness on the field at Georgia, but I had steelers fans telling me they were glad to be rid of him because he wanted to be more than just a nickel and he caused some locker room issues (I find that hard to believe though)

Pretty sad to think about, but there are only 2 Super Bowl wins within the entire NFC South. Carolina just got established and they have already been to 2. It's only a matter of time before they win one.

This is MSB, therefore the Jordan measurement will determine how good you are.

Saints 1-0 in SB
Tampa 1-0 in SB
ATL 0-1 in SB
CAR 0-2 in SB

Therefore, Saints and Tampa are the GOATs. ATL and CAR were just lucky to get through an easy NFC before getting it handed to them by the real men in the AFC.

Nice signing. I didn't see too much of him in Pitt if I remember correctly.
