Couple of thoughts:

1) This fight will bring more attention to the undercard bouts than any in boxing history. As goofy as the main even is, more eyes on your other boxers is a good thing

2) Greenie, of all people, had a good idea a couple of weeks ago. Said make 1st 9 rounds boxing, and that if McGregor survives, it goes to MMA in final round. Basically, Floyd couldn't point him to death with that round looming, so he'd have to try to knock him out, which may leave him just a bit vulnerable to McGregor getting lucky and connecting once just right(puncher's chance).

The only time I've ever actually liked one of Greenberg's Dumb Rules (TM).

Mayweather would never, ever, ever agree. He will fight a defensive fight for 10 rounds and win on points without McGregor ever doing any real damage. Probably will win all 10 rounds.

Both will laugh their asses off all the way to the bank.

The sport of boxing in America likely won't recover from the frickup that was Mayweather vs Pacman.

Seems like he's also forgotten that there hasn't been a pay per view fight worth a damn in the past 20 or so years. Not saying this fight will be any good, it likely won't, but it's a novelty that might introduce the under card boxers to new fans. He has to realize how many people will tune in for that fight

Maybe. Either way, he's terrible.

I'd pay for goldennugget vs McGregor. One badass vs another badass.

He will absolutely win the fight on points going away. McGregor has very little chance, if any at all. Mayweather will do what he always does: fight a boring, defensive fight and win.

I think you're wrong here.

Conor is insane enough and lacking in respect for Mayweather than he's going to just rush in, and Mayweather will drop him multiple times. People will finally see why professional boxers don't just rush in vs him.

If he's knocked down fewer than 5 times I would be shocked. Originally said 10 but that is a lot.

He will knock out Mcgregor at any point he chooses.

Again, no.

Mayweather does this because he is going against boxers who can box and have the ability to hurt him. Mcgregor has none of the above. Mayweather could knock out Mcgregor in the first round if he chose to, and he will knock him out in three even if he's just going through the motions.

Y'all forget, Money's only getting older. Someone someday will be too quick even if he has the best technique in the game

But that somebody and someday will not be Mcgregor and the day he fights Mcgregor.

A young Mayweather could but his hands are too fragile these days. He isn't really a threat to knock anyone out.
