I don't watch a lot of basketball, but just happened to see Oregon's basketball floor. It is the ugliest court I have ever seen, and hard to look at a game on TV. What were they thinking?

Like I said, don't watch a lot of basketball, but it is still ugly, no matter how long they have had it.

I remember when they first got it there were issues with the arena lights reflecting off of it or something like that

It's a pretty impressive almost pro stadium...for a college inside and out...with the jumbotrons and stadium seating.

Compared to McArthur Court it's a bit of a tomb, Mac was almost as good of a home court advantage as one could have but it was also a deathtrap with just a few unobstructed seats. Matt is a boring but great facility to watch basketball, Mac was a horrible place to watch but fun and lively as hell.

McArthur Court

Always thought it looked like a badass old gym.

Is it still used for anything?

perhaps some campus events, but when I said death trap I meant it literally as an old wooden gym built in the 1920's, it's just not safe to use anymore. As beloved as Mac is there seems to be no plans as of yet to replace or repurpose it, surprising as it's dead center in campus. I suspect there will be something done with the upcoming hayward field renovations for the Track and Field World Championships.
