These registry laws are some of the best things to happen by society. You do realize most of these laws were created after sex predators would graduate from being a sex predator to a murderer?
I want to know where every one of these sick individuals are in residing in my community. They should be residing in prison for the rest of their lives but that's another story

People of this world need to stop basing opinions on emotion

The guy has an ERA under 1, of course they support him and want him to play.

Good for that piece of shite

you can forget about the potential matchup for a minute, think about how wrong all of this is. The dude is having everything that he worked for taken away because of mistakes he made WHEN HE WAS 15. He was punished, but these registry laws are some of the worst things society has managed to come up with.
1.) I really hope this is a troll.
2.) If 1 isn't true, the authorities need to be watching you.

No kidding, that post is ridiculous.

Sure if you were caught peeing in public or some dumb shite like that, but when you actually molested a kid, that's exactly why the registry is needed. You are a freakin sex offender that needs monitoring.

You're disgusting. At 15 you know right from wrong. And what he did was one of the most wrong acts that there exists. Here's hoping he never picks up another baseball for the rest of his life.
I want to reiterate how moronic and disgusting you are.

I feel bad for him from stand point he had some hope of moving forward after a disgusting terrible act he did at 15.
If they locked him up forever at 15 I would have been good with it.
As it stands he probably has zero hope of being a part of our society. I am not saying he should. Just kind of tough to think of his options even if he tried to do right.
I am not saying he should have that chance. The system let him loose to flounder though
Maybe Korean league won't care

All you had to do was click on the link to get this headline:
"Oregon State pitcher and registered sex offender Luke Heimlich goes undrafted".
quote:
last week the Portland Oregonian published a story detailing why he's a registered sex offender: he molested a six-year-old female relative when he was 15.

Good for him. He gets to now pick a team that's a perfect fit and go where he wants.
He'll take a minimum deal and in 2 years there will be a bidding war for him.
I have so much compassion for his victim, but I lost a lot of it if she now thinks following him around trying to ruin his future is acceptable.
He has done everything the courts have told him to do and HER PARENTS SIGNED OFF ON IT, as part of the sentence of his case. If she's mad, be mad at her parents.
I swear to God, if she takes money for this, it will anger the country in his favor and HER actions will be backfired.

He isn't signing with any team ever. And you're a fricking idiot.

She didn't bring this story to light. You're a fricking idiot.

Except re-register as a sex offender. You're a fricking idiot.
I'd like to emphasize that you're a fricking idiot.

Not defending him. But he didn't make a mistake with the registration. That was a mistake by the courts.

Article that explains the legal issues/rules
• What were Heimlich's legal obligations in registering as a sex offender in the state of Oregon? Why was he cited in April for failure to update his status in Benton County within 10 days of his 21st birthday? What happened to the charge?
Oregon law requires an out-of-state resident with a juvenile sex offense to register with the state of Oregon when he moves into the state.
When Heimlich enrolled at Oregon State in January 2015 — he graduated early from high school in order to start college and be eligible to play as a freshman during the 2015 season — he complied with that at the Corvallis Police Department.
After that, he was required to notify police department officials if there were a change in status — that is, if he were to dis-enroll from school. There has been no change in status, so Heimlich was not required to notify them again.
In Oregon, a juvenile sex offender from out of state is not required to register again on his 21st birthday. Were Heimlich a resident of Oregon or convicted in Oregon, he would have had to. As a Washington resident attending college in Oregon, that part of the law did not apply to him.
When Corvallis police included Heimlich in a sweep of sex offenders who had not registered, they didn't realize he wasn't required to under Oregon law. Heimlich's attorney, Stephen Ensor, took that to the district attorney, who agreed to dismiss the case.

You need to read up on this subject more. It's like you have no idea what the hell youre even talking.
As far as Luke goes I wouldn't be surprised if he ended his life. I hope he has a good support group

I haven't seen anything saying that. Link?
Saw your link... to be honest, ok, he got by on a technicality since attending Oregon State didn't make him a domiciliary of the state.
The dipshit I was posting to still thinks the girl is the one that started all of this racket
