Manning #1 draft pick overall
Brady #199 overall

Brady's ascent to Super Bowl greatness from his lowly beginnings make him the GOAT in my opinion

Brady rises up to situations, Manning does the opposite

performing your best in the biggest games definitely has to carry some weight in this discussion

Exactly. A CHAMPION makes the plays when it counts. Being ALL-World in the regular season means zip when playoffs come around. I'd rather Brady leading my team when I'm down in the fourth rather than the choke artist with the large head

No it was 5 less with a guy who hadn't started at quarterback in 7 years.

Brady has had an incredible amount of luck and favorable calls in his career that people conveniently seem to forget. When you can be the starting quarterback of a team and go down in the first half of the first game of a season and your team can still win 11 games with quarterback with 7 years of rust, then you have no business in the GOAT discussion. Hell without a rule made up on the spot and then Drew Bledsoe, they never even make that first title game.

Manning goes down and a top 5 team in the league becomes the worst in the league.

That's not even to mention all the stuff the Patriots have pulled with SpyGate, DeflateGate, and probably numerous other shenanigans they have pulled.

Anyone saying Brady is the Goat is basically saying the same about Bill Russell or Derek Jeter.

Yes. Brady went down in the first game of the '08 season. Yes. He was out for the year. Yes. They still went 11-5. However, you are forgetting that this was the very same team that, just the season before, had gone 16-0 in the regular season.

The '08 Patriots were just as talented as they had been the year prior. However, without Brady, they missed the playoffs.

They missed the playoffs because of how the NFL sets up their playoff system, it's not like they didn't have a top 6 record. And truth be told, they should have lost at least one, if not two games that year anyways. Do you think the Broncos make the playoffs this past season if Manning goes down game one for the whole year? The packers with Rodgers? saints with Brees? Colts with Luck?

Brady is a very good quarterback, no one will ever dispute that, but if the NFL never plays another season, you would be hard pressed to have an argument for him as a top ten quarterback of all time, much less the greatest of all time.

Yes. They had 10 other players go to the Pro Bowl.

The packers with Rodgers?

He was out for a good bit of last year's season and they still made it to the playoffs.

saints with Brees

They didn't make it to the playoffs this year even with Brees.

Colts with Luck

Probably not. But Luck is probably the best overall QB in the game right now.

They were 2-5-1 without him; 6-2 with him

You can laugh, but Luck has literally dick to throw to. His best WRs are guys from the Manning years who are way past their prime. And yet they still managed to get to the AFC Championship Game.

Hilton was from the Manning years?

Rodgers is easily the best QB in football.

Because Aaron Rodgers won his games. They won less than 30% of the games without him

It doesn't hurt that he has two Pro Bowl receivers to throw to as well as a 1,000-yard RB behind him who can also catch the ball
