It depends on your barometer...

Education, pollution, STDs, health etc LA is near the bottom.

Sometimes you have to in certain places

I remember turning over my Uncle's deer stands out by San Angelo and finding 15 Texas Rattlers underneath

Whats awesome about this photo is that its hard to tell where his hair ends and the tree in the background begins. Hallmark of a solid mullet

The mullet is even majestically blowing in the breeze in that pic.

Louisiana is only bad if you're poor. Where else can you shoot a duck, catch a redfish and watch the Saints and Tigers in the same weekend?

Duck hunting is overrated

You can't brag about the duck you bragged and the meat is gross and difficult to dress

The majority of Michigan is absolutely awesome. Some absolutely gorgeous terrain that is truly immaculate if you enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking, etc.

Louisiana, and Mississippi

Love these two places and have called both home, but the politicians of both states and the good ol boy system coupled with a stagnant welfare society that doesn't care to improve their lot in life do unfortunately make it hard for me to counter your assertion.

What a terrible list. Michigan has to be one of the 5 most beautiful states.
