I played against Mahomes in fantasy, but had his top 2 WRs.
Mahomes: 754 yards passing, 5 TDs, 85 yards rushing, 2 TDs
Coutee: 10 receptions, 172 yards, 1 TD
Giles: 10 receptions, 167 yards, 2 TDs
Even with Mahomes setting our league scoring record I won by 40 points

This has been years in the making. HS coaches like Todd Dodge and Art Briles spawned an offensive revolution in Texas.
There's a prevailing mindset of placing all your talent on offense which is a 180 from old Texas HS football.
Most Big 12 teams are recruiting that mindset and lack of talent on defense.
Just my working theory anyway...
