Comparing this to Holocaust jokes is really a fail on your part.

So IYO since the trail of tears resulted in less deaths it's less offensive to joke about?

Or is it because it only happened to Indians and not Jews?

Agreed. Like I said earlier, a lot of times people acting offended about this sort of thing do it publicly because that's what they think they should do or society forces them to do, but in private there is no doubt they are all hypocrites to some degree.

I personally am not offended by it but it is fricked up. If Gameday came to Ole Miss and there were people with signs up making fun of slavery, do you think they should be allowed?

I don't believe in censorship not matter how much I disagree with the message.

I don't agree with what the Westboro Baptist Church does but I understand they have a right to do it just like I have a right to ignore them.

And ESPN and Gameday have the right to choose what should be on their show and what shouldn't.

Of course but now you are changing directions in your argument. No one is arguing that. We are arguing that outside of ESPN removing it people need to move on from it, but they won't. Watch the shite storm that will come out of this.

Kids do stupid things and college is part of figuring it out.

No ones saying that the kids should be crucified. We're just saying the joke is in poor taste.

It's one thing to say that kids should never make dumb mistakes. But it's another thing to say that their mistakes aren't mistakes.

How did censorship make its way into this conversation?

Why are people in this thread acting like saying that the sign is fricked up means they support censorship?

And the university officials issuing a statement saying the view of those students is not that of the school is not censorship.
