The OSU and Michigan game is still a big deal however the season goes. A true OSU fan knows that and they will still be excited over the game. I don't care how bad Michigan is playing you can NEVER take them for granted. When it comes to this rivalry all stats are out of the window. GO BUCKS!

The game might not nationally be as big this year, but come to Columbus and tell me it isn't a big deal.

I think I just said that.

Since you followed my name I thought you were contradicting me but I see you were just agreeing with me.

With a few of the Ohio people on here that hate OSU I took your post wrong. I never know who supports us and who doesn't anymore. Glad to see you are one of the good guys.

I guess that all depends on whether you live in Ohio or Texas.

Prior to this year didn't Texas win it like once and wasn't the avg margin of victory like 14+ or something ridiculous? Yea - much bigger.

well, the winner of the red river SHOOTOUT has been a represntative in the BCS title game 4 times, whereas the winner of UM/OSU respectively has been a representative 3 times

Has to be brutally hard for those Michigan fans this season. Even if the Wolverines win I can't see their fan base doing any more celebration than say the Vols would do if they happen to beat Vandy.

at least if auburn beats Bama they actually get ALOT from the win....they basically knock Bama from nat'l title contention and become bowl eligible

Auburn fans don't have it nearly as bad as the Michigan fans. You can hardly find A Wolverine fan on any of the college football forums.

In this decade, OU leads the series 6-3 with the average score being OU 30.4-Texas 21.4.

6 out of 8 years that team went on to represent the South in the Big 12 Championship Game (the other 2 years the other team backdoored its way in). The winner of the game has gone on to play for the National Championship 4 times, winning 2 of them. The following is each teams ranking coming into the game since 2000:

OU: #10, #3, #2, #1, #2, Unranked, #14, #10, #1
UT: #11, #5, #3, #11, #5, #2, #7, #19, #5

Can Ohio State/Michigan match that this decade?

I'm willing to bet that it has, but I'm too busy at work to spend a half hour researching it.

I didn't say it was bigger throughout the country I said if you are a OSU fan the game against Michigan is a big deal no matter what the season stats show. It is the biggest game of the year if you live in Ohio even if we lost all our games this year. The rivalry is ONE of the biggest in the country but that doesn't decrease any other college rivalry games out there. That was the point I was making.

Whether the rest of the country is interested in this game or not this year, I really don't care. It is still one of(if not THE)greatest rivalry in not just college football, but all of sports, and I'm pumped to finally be able to attend.

michigan is gonna gets its 9th loss and if ohio state wins, they are nothing special. if they lose, then the big 10 sucks.
