Is he the clown that was part of BBall selection group?
Posted on 1/13/17 at 6:33 pm to High C
Fine with me. Alvarez is from Wisconsin.

He's served as AD in the PAC 12, Big 12, MAC and Big Ten.

How the hell does no one have a problem with this? It's the very definition of a conflict of interest.

Every conference has an AD on the committee?

Meh. I just assume they try to get a decent cross-section of the country. As long as he is the guy lobbying hard for the B1G, who cares?

He steps out of the room any time Ohio State's ranking gets discussed. There is no conflict of interest.
It's amazing how many people here have no idea how the committee works.

I'll admit, I don't. Who makes sure he steps out of the room? A moderator?

Is still seems like a barbaric and outdated way to decide a champion in the year 2017.

The chairman?
All the other members?
The former Secretary of State is on the damn committee. I suspect they know how to run a meeting

Yeah, Oregon Arkansas and Texas Tech ADs are current members. Oliver Luck was on it too when he was still WVU's AD

He's OSUs only chance to make the playoffs as an at large now
Posted on 1/13/17 at 7:35 pm to High C
Good. Maybe now the committee will stop overrating Wisconsin

Computers pick the final 4 in the playoffs more than the computers picked the final 2 in the bcs.
Humans were more involved with bcs then they are in playoffs
There is so much computer data with the playoffs
