I do think it's funny though how many hate him while talking about the "pussification of the league" while longing for the days of cheap shots in the 90s when everyone was soooooo tough!!! Not saying you, but the board in general loves those guys and all of those antics about the 90s, then simultaneously hates current guys who do these things while complaining about how soft the league is. It's entertaining to see that play out time and time again.

Shell please give us a link to where anyone applauds illegal high kicks to the groin or face in any era?

People miss good hard fouls under the basket & some physical contact on the perimeter instead of ballhandlers lollygagging about nearly untouched or players like Harden flopping around.

Sorry you're so hypersensitive about the softness of today's game when the League had to actually implement "Flopping rules".

And I'll be waiting for that link were people think high kicks to the face the 80's/ 90's were so great.

You mean the one that shows Thompson obviously fouling him causing said slide?

You either didn't watch the game or are blinded by homerism. Nobody in the country saw a foul and even the league ruled that they flat out missed the call.
where is the foul that caused him to slide?

Ok yea,no one back in the day ever committed cheap shots. Those hard shots were just all fair game.

Gotcha!!!

Amazing the lengths people will go to justify the nonsense from those days.

Nah, the clothesline and constant cheap shots guys pulled off in the early 90s were done lovingly!

My favorite was that "wait till a little guy jumps for a layup and forearm shiver them in the chest" move. The skill involved in that move, wow. Not a single big man in the game now can get that one down. The game is so bad now.

Foul didn't cause him to slide but that's a foul nonetheless.

If that's a foul then there's no such thing as defense. Curry turned the ball over at the end of the game yesterday bc of near identical defense. And it wasn't a foul then either. Thompson has as much right to the court and was right there with him.

That may be called a foul 1 out of 50 times but that travel is called 49 times out of 50 and that's the one time it wasn't. The hands down worst missed call of 2016 playoffs.

I'm cool with no foul being called, but he knocked Wedtbrook pretty damn good with his shoulder. It was a foul.

Yeah but he made contact 3 times before they called it. His bench even knew it was excessive.

And that is the pussification your old man is talking about. A little contact is not a foul

Well, that's ridiculous.

How is that ridiculous? We've beaten two of the top ten teams of all-time 7 times in a given month.

Literally no Thunder fans have been talking shite because like everyone here we did not see this squad looking this good all season long

With all they have had to endure this season (Monty Williams wife dying in a car wreck, owner committing suicide, Dion Waiters' brother murdered, KD rumors, 4th quarter chokes, Billy D's first year as an NBA coach, Draymond's flying legs), I and every Thunder fan are damn proud of the team whether they CHOKE this series away or not.

I don't see it that way. Defenders are tasked with using athleticism now. Anybody can knock the frick out of people. Want to play good defense? Think faster than the guy you're defending, and beat him to the spot.

Again, I didn't care that a foul wasn't called.

Players are better now. They have to be more athletic and more skilled than players were back in the day.

That's great. They are in the driver's seat and staring a very winnable Finals in the face...Thunder fans should know full well making it back next year isn't a given and with their future roster uncertainty...yeah, moral victories shouldn't be satisfying at this point.

Moral victories?

The two teams we've faced the past two rounds were supposed to sweep us.

I didn't realize beating a 67-win Spurs team 4 times and a 73-win Warriors 3 times constituted a "moral" victory. I think you're confusing that with actual victories
