Just because its the offseason and I am bored, lets talk about moving the Jags. I know that most ppl think the Jaguars should and will eventually move to London, but IMO they should move to Orando (assuming they can't fix their attendance problems in Jacksonville). The Orlando metro area has almost 1.4 million ppl more than the Jacksonville metro area. Plus it would be awesome too have Super Bowls in Orlando. There was talk in 2009 about the Jags splitting their games between Jacksonville and Orlando LINK. I am sure the Bucs won't like it, but who cares about the bucs?

Thoughts, opinions, or other feelings on the matter?

It's not like the Magic have a proven history of good attendance that would really drive the NFL to Orlando. A move there doesn't seem likely at all IMO.

No. In fact there should be no more professional franchises in Florida. Its been proven that those cities are just too transient and dont have the core fans. If anything the state of Florida should be contracting its pro sports. The Rays, Jags and Panthers should all be moved to other cities...as soon as possible!

It's to the point, I don't care where the Jags are anymore. Just as long as they stop stinking up the joint. It's tough watching total failure lately, that much I do know. Especially after watching the Jags play in 2 AFC championship (One in person) games over 3 years time.

Orlando?
Jacksonville?
They're so close to each other, does it really matter anymore?
Here in Gainesville we're blackout no matter what between these two city's.

Well the Jags are locked into the Jacksonvill until 2027 so they won't be moving anytime soon. If they did move the Citrus bowl could be an interm home until they built a new stadium.

Well they could have a smaller stadium in Orlando and a mucher larger metro area from which to draw and that would help with the blackouts. Jacksonville is stuck having a stadium big enough to accomodate UGA-UF and so they have to tarp off sections for the Jags.

I live in Jacksonville and there's a big Jags fan base here. That team isn't moving at all. You're kicking the team when they came off a 3 win season. The Jags owner is investing serious cash into revitalization of downtown and several large corporations are moving into downtown. The Jags stadium is awesome and Jacksonville had the largest population gain of any city in Florida. They just need some good seasons.

With the demand for pro football around the world, a few investors could build their own team in London without moving any U.S. team.

Yeah, at first that huge stadium worked. Not anymore, it's way to big and gives the Jags a bad rap with so many empty seats shown. There's NFL teams with worse attendance records than the Jags, but they don't look so bad with less empty seats. Them darn tarps.....grrrrrr

I'd be happy if they stayed in Jacksonville, but if Orlando means they at least stay in Florida. I can live with that. I'd fell for the die-hard Jacksonville fans who've supported this team during the bad times, but if Jacksonville is bad for the Jags. Move them.....

So now you want two teams within 90mins of each other with shitty attendance sharing a tv market.

Florida is a transplant state. Away fans will always dominate those games.

Florida....South of Orlando is transplant. Plenty of local southerners in Jacksonville.

Winning cures all, and that's been the issue with the Jags since 2008. They have one of the richest humans on the planet as their owner.

They also had $60 million in stadium upgrades in 2014. Again I think most everyone here doesn't understand the money invested lately into infrastructure and is kicking the team because their record has sucked arse for 5 years or more.

it's not the stadium, it's the market

they thought Jacksonville was going to grow into being an NFL market in 1995 and it clearly hasn't happened

Wrong. The Magic do very well with attendance. However, I do not think that Orlando would do well with an NFL team.

Dumb thread is dumb... Scoreboard upgrades + pools, hundreds of millions of improvements coming to the riverbank... Khan and the jags are going nowhere, unless we get relegated like his other football team lol.

Nope. Jags pull better attendance than the Bucs. Use google.

Move the Bucs to Orlando and STFU OP.
