The same was said for Harding Park in San Fran ...until it hosted a WGC last year after only being a TPC course for a few years. The driving range is a joke. The clubhouse was just slightly upgraded from the former Harding park CH.

FTR, the original PGA tournament played in NOLA was played at the old City Park East course (maybe west).

It was the West Course, then Lakewood, then English Turn, then TPC......might go full circle eventually

I'm well aware of it being played at CP. Alario's fear is that when tourney moves, TPC sells course and then he would stop donating money.

The state owns the course ... Don't think we are selling it (although it would be a good financial move) ...

It was Merion, but they did it at Harding Park as well. There's a 9 hole course in the middle of HP and they used part of that course as the driving range.
