LT/Moss will outscore Fitz.

Hey, Blows,

I cannot believe that you are being advised to pick up McClain over Deuce or Rhodes. Rhodes is solid until Addai is back and Deuce is likely to get plenty of carries now that he's shown he's ready to play again. McGahee has stolen the limelight from McClain. He is the third best option of these three IMO. HOWEVER, you might take note that Rhodes will be playing Tennessee this week. I'm not on the Titans bandwagon yet, but I'd check out the other match ups before I'd pull the trigger on this.

Tech, where'd you get this list, the garbage? I guess Carlson is the right pick, but geez, you can't get anyone better than these four? Is Donnie Avery available for pick up, maybe?

Kolby Smith, maybe? I'm not suggesting. I'm just wondering if anyone has thought about him. I'm assuming that Faulk and Stecker are already taken in your league? Maurice Morris? At WR, is Avery available?

lakers Kolby smith, Stecker, and Maurice Morris are all available. Who is the best one to pick up? I'm thinking Morris, but then again Kolby Smith may have a lot of touches. Is Larry Johnson suspended for sure>?

I've only heard that the team "may" suspend him for this game even if the league does not. Not sure when your trade/pick up deadline is, but this may be a wait and see. If Johnson is in, Smith is unlikely to post any stats this week.

Stecker, and Maurice Morris are all available.
As I think I posted yesterday, I have heard that Stecker is the likely replacement for Bush, keeping in mind that the Saints will definitely increase McAllister's work load. On the other hand, Morris is at San Francisco. He was injured the last time they played, but Jones posted 127 yards on 26 carries and had a TD. I don't know whether Hasselbeck is going to play, but between two teams in chaos, I like the sure-handed Morris. I'm going to play Morris if I bench Moore because Parker is playing.

Bottom line, it may be too early to decide between these guys, but of what you're picking from, I tink you may be able to improve.

Should I make any moves this week? Right now, I have Boldin in the game because Greg Jennings has a bye. My K Longwell also has a bye this week. This is my current team. I guess my question is, would it be worth it to get a kicker and maybe another receiver or do I just suck it up this week and hope for the best?

Starters

P Rivers
B Westbrook
S Slaton
A Boldin
T Houshmandzade
V Jackson
D Clark
R Longwell
Titans

Bench

D McNabb
R Grant
G Jennings
J Shockey
Vikings

My opponent

Delhomme, Jake
Lynch, Marshawn
Williams, DeAngelo
Berrian, Bernard
Holt, Torry
Royal, Eddie
Winslow, Kellen
Folk, Nick
Bills DST

Palmer, Carson
Pennington, Chad
Jones, Julius
Galloway, Joey
Colts DST

If you are serious about your team, pick up a kicker.

So who would you recommend dropping?

Vikings. You don't need two defenses. They won't do you any good. The Titans are good enough and have already had a bye. There's a team in my league with the Bears and the Ravens. The team (in my league) sucks. They had no bench to fill in when Willie Parker and Felix Jones went down. They lost last week to the only 0-6 team in our league. Sproles got them only .6, but the Ravens D scored eight sitting on their bench and doing them no good. Besides, if you're a contender, you need two kickers going into the playoffs in our league. We don't allow trades after the "trade deadline," so you have to have an extra kicker just in case your kicker gets injured. You do not need an "extra" defense.

[quote]LJ's Week 8 status update

NFL.com reports Kansas City Chiefs head coach Herman Edwards said RB Larry Johnson will be deactivated for the team's Week 8 game. Running backs Kolby Smith and Jamaal Charles will split the rushing duties in place of Johnson.

Okay, Tech, here's my question. I'm planning on playing Moore (v. NYG) if Parker is out or limited. If Parker plays, I could play Maurice Morris (@ SF) or I could pick up Kolby Smith (v NYJ). I'm leaning towards Morris, because I think KC is the worse team in the league (yes, even worse that Detroit). Anyone want to weigh in on this issue?

I just picked up Kolby Smith and plan on starting him. I just don't see Morris getting it done with Jones in their at Seattle

I guess we were typing at the same time.

I'm leaning toward Morris. What are your thoughts?
