He's got a good record at Augusta, but did he quit smoking? He hasn't done anything this year has he?

He really only had 1 bad round last week, a 76 on Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised if he is in the mix going into the weekend.

ETA: They are predicting 40% chance rain on Thursday and 60% friday. Hopefully they won't have to stop play too much.

Don't remember exactly, but I remember an announcer saying he's going through extended physical therapy on one of his legs or arms...can't remember exactly. That was around three/four weeks ago.

If those greens get a little soft, look the hell out. Somebody could go way low.

We need an over/under line on how many balls in the water on #12!

True, but on the flip side, the course plays WAY longer with all the uphill shots.

This is awesome for me. I have a golf tourney on Thurs, then will be at the Rangers game on Friday.

Extra golf all day on Saturday and Sunday would be great!

ETA: A Tiger, Phil, Hunter, and Rory pairing in the last two groups Sunday would have me fapping like crazy.

Miller said he was rounding into shape in time for the Masters during the Shell broadcast on Saturday.

This is true... So... Look for a long hitter to get hot? Tiger? Bubba? Bradley?

I watched about 5 minutes of the SHO and that's what I caught.

I can see an accenture final rematch in this one. I look for a Rory/Mahan final group on Sunday. I see Rory pulling it out this time though. I think his final round 80 last year will prove as a learning experience this year.

To me it's just going to come down to who can limit their mistakes which is probably true for any golf tourney.

However, at Augusta if you miss a green to the wrong side, or hit it over the green you can easily card a 6 or 7 in a heartbeat.

I think we'll know alot more after a round is played to see how players are putting and whatnot. And I know hindsight is 20/20.

ETA: I think you have to be a pretty long player to win at the current Augusta set up. It plays almost 7500 yards. Outside of Trevor Immelman and Zach Johnson The last 8 winners or so have been long hitters.

Just looked Immelman was 4th in driving distance that week, and Zach Johnson won with an over par score for the week. So I treat that as a fluke

I think you have to go all the way back to Mike Weir to find a short hitter that has won in the last 12 years, and even then the course wasn't at its current length.

DJ is not consistent enought with his iron play. I'd love to see him win, but I have a feeling the collapses in the PGA and the US Open still haunt him. He hasn't been the same since.
