Do they get a warm up lap after leaving pits, or is it you leave pits and when you hit start finish line time starts?

It used to take a lot longer than its gonna take today
The old way was come out of the pits and when you come around to the start/finish line to take the green flag then get two laps starting with that one to make your run. Fastest lap outta the two is your time
At Daytona and Talkadega this was always a little different bc with restrictor plates no ones car would be up to speed on the first lap so they'd use it as a throwaway lap to build speed then their second lap would be the fast one
The new way is that you come out of the pits and come around to the start finish line the first time you receive the green and white flags meaning you have that lap and that lap only to qualify for speed
This is a really good change IMO bc it will greatly speed up a process that can be boring and uneventful even for the biggest racing fan

The roof flap is too high? I think they said if the can prove the team moved it may be a penalty, has to race for spot*. But I thought he had a spot?

I don't know if they have inspections before they practice, but if so and they were cleared yesterday then maybe they thought they could sneak by with that but got caught. Hey, if you ain't cheating you ain't trying.
