They just won't trade him at all, sit his arse on the bench as a DNP all season long,
How many times has that EVER happened? Getting something for him is better than nothing at all

Gerald Wallace is making 10 mill a year?
well he's on the downside, but he's worth 10/year
he's a really good defender and does a ton of the "little things" while being able to score 15ish game

Broussard just said on ESPN that D-Will will make his decision either tomorrow or Tuesday.

Hennigan about to set the precedent
Depends on what that "something" is. I'd rather get nothing in return than a couple shitty contracts. I'd rather be a high lottery pick for a couple years straight and rebuild thru the draft while having cap space (ie: OKC & Cavs) than be a 8/9 seed 1st round elimination team for a decade+ straight.....

So Broussard is just re-stating what we already knew? D-Will had said last week that he was going to decide within the first three days to not drag it out

Hes gonna resign with the Nets IMO.

broussard really is the worst "insider" in professional sports

I think he will re-sign with the Nets as well. He has just done way too much with the Nets in the offseason to not sign with them

It's a close race between him and Stephen "I know everybody" A. Smith

The only reason he has this high profile of a job is because he is WorldWideWes' mouthpiece in the media.

smith is an analyst more than a reporter
he doesn't break "insider" stuff outside of a few guys he's connected to, typically. he analyzes everything so people think he's constantly pushing insider info, when it's really analysis/opinion

I guess my problem is with how the NBA values a guy's skill set. When Tyrus got his new deal I lol'ed all over the place.

To be fair, I don't think it's fair to the NBA to use Charlotte as an example for anything.

Broussard basically gives time to anyone who knows or has ever met an NBA star and uses those as his "sources"
"my buddy is friends with LeBrahn's pool boy and he said that LeBrahn wants Spoelstra out"

he had broken the Big 3 in Miami for about an hour in 2010, then backed off it because he wasn't so sure. he may have gone full insider had he stuck to his guns.

he was the first major guy at the end of the decision spectacle to fully state they were going to miami
simmons also was pushing the agreement after 2008, but his version had more than just those 3 together

If true, that can't help Miami's chances.

I thought the C's were gonna go after Jamal Crawford, but now I've seen them linked to Jason Terry and bringing Ray back. interesting.
