Their defense is not even close to as good without Cushing. And I'll be waiting to see how close to 100% Joseph is. Gronk will be back tho

What did I miss?? I put a pretty decent play on New England as soon as it opened and thinking about putting more on.

Said Article

quote:

The 2012-13 New England Patriots just became the first team in NFL history to get back-to-back byes before advancing to the conference championship game. Could this get any easier?

I mean, seriously?

The planets are aligned and the tomato cans are in place. The fraudulent Houston Texans are the only team standing between the New England Patriots and a trip to the AFC Championship game. All the Patriots have to do is beat the terrible Texans. One week from Sunday. At Gillette Stadium.

Arian Foster screenshotted that and made it his avi on twitter

Nothing. Just a hunch from me. Teams that play the Pats for a 2nd time almost always play MUCH better. The Texans now know that you have to beat the Pats by making them beat you deep (they have no real deep threat) or running game (Ridley? I'll take my chances). They will be able to stop New England's short passing game and keep it close.

I don't know..Gronk adds another dimension and the Texans just haven't been playing that well lately. The Bengals were an aberration, the only playoff team they played all year long (not counting Baltimore since it was a scrub game) was Washington in week 3. The Texans are still pretty beaten up and are playing with a cobbled together linebacking corps. I just see it being a repeat of the first or close to it. On a good day for the Texans I picture 35-17 New England.

Not saying the Texans will win, but I can see Schaub playing looser this weekend and putting up some points. You have to realize that last week was his first start in a playoff game.

Going back to the first time they played the Patriots on Dec. 11, only once since have the Texans scored over 20pts.

vs New England 14pts
vs Indianapolis 29pts
vs Minnesota 6pts
vs Indianapolis 16pts
vs Cincinnati 19pts
