Yeah, I used to live in the area, played Bay Hill quite a bit and went to the tourney for a few years, but it was the years he was not playing in it anymore. As a Phil fan it was little disappointing. I move away and he starts playing again.

Is he defending his title at that this year? Didn't see him as part of the early announced field on the website the last time I checked.

If there is one course in the world for Tiger to try and gain confidence by winning a tournament, it's probably this one. Tiger, psychologically, needs to play great this week.

I would guess he's just gonna take a week off then play at Augusta.

No doubt, I'm interested to see how he is going to hold up playing golf for 8 days in a row.

Did you see him hurt his back by stopping his swing on the downswing cause of a camera? Is Tiger Woods the only player that people take pictures of? I never see any other players with this problem. It was a practice round, just shank the ball in the woods, turn around and stare at the offender and make them feel like dirt. It's not worth getting hurt over.

I saw that. It always annoys me for some reason. You would think someone who takes such pride in his "mental toughness" he would be able to block out all distractions. Or belittle them with a stare like you said

If you see that video again you can see Foley in the background bitching out the photographer who snapped the shot.

I'm gonna start treating Tiger doin good like a pitcher treats a No Hitter. Everytime I mention to someone Tiger is doin well it seems like I jinx him.

Epic fail for Tiger on Par 5 4th, 30 putts from ft., 2nd 3 putt of the day, just wow

Driving the ball well, Iron play is shite and can't make 5 footers

I like the way he plays, but apparently he is a giant douche. Has a real sense of entitlement and is awful to fans.

From what I've read he's really tried to work on this. His caddie has even criticized him on it. I believe they brought it up on the TV coverage a week or two ago. He's pretty active on twitter and has a few you tube videos that has helped him connect more to the fans, and I think has helped that image alot as well.

it's obvious that he spends most of his practice time with driver and trying to shape the long iron shots.

but his short game is suffering.

You can add me to that list as well, however he made one on the next hole

ETA: Then makes a 20 footer for birdie on his 15th hole, back to -3, 2 back

Nice looking leaderboard early on. AK in the lead by 2 with Woods, Watney, Choi 2 back. Rose, Els, and Mahan 1 more back of that.

Side note...anyone heading to Biloxi this weekend for the Champions Tour? Heading out there Saturday to get a glimpse of some of the old guys. Fred Couples, Mark O'Meara, Tom Lehman, Nick Price, Corey Pavin and others in the field. Should be a nice way to get into full golf mode ahead of my Masters trip next weekend.

I'm taking the wife over with me. Hopefully all of that walking around will get the labor jump started.
