It will be interesting if Burger gets drafted as a 3rd baseman or a 1st baseman. I think whoever gets him moves him to 1st. McKay is what? I think they start him as a Pitcher but since he's such a good hitter they will let him DH some in Minors and if fails as a P he moves. Did I hear McDonald last night say Lange would be a Closer in Pro Ball?
I also believe the shift is going back to getting college guys again. I mean you look at all the players in HOF from 70's on who are college guys, it really is the smart way to go.

I can't wait to see which SEC hard throwing righty who will ultimately project to be a 7th inning reliever we end up taking in the first round this year!

Watch Faedo slip to the Tigers. Detroit would be happy I think to get him though.

Give me a pitcher at 26 (maybe Tanner Houck) and either Tristen Lutz or Jeter Downs at 29 for the Rangers

apparently there are rumors that the rays are going to go super under the slot and take bubba thompson at 4. interesting because like 10 days ago, it was considered a forgone conclusion he was going to the dodgers at 23

He certainly fits their profile . I don't trust David Chadd at all, but if he is the best player available at 18, I won't beat him up for taking him.

There is never a foregone conclusion in the 20s of a draft
Posted on 6/12/17 at 11:53 am to lsu31always
it was rumored that we gave him a guarantee but now who knows

Mackenzie Gore will end up being the best of the bunch

I see Seattle getting Burger. They love College hitters and he will be around that area. If Seattle passes on him it will be LaLa land for him, I think. Put him in the Ravine and just pencil 20 HR's a year.

i kinda like houck at 23 but i doubt hes still available
Posted on 6/12/17 at 12:06 pm to WestCoastAg
I fully expect the Rangers to continue just drafting middle infielders and disregarding the need for pitching.

If the Reds get Hunter Greene, the pants are coming off.

Also, possibly i can't take the purple and gold glasses off, but its criminal how low Lange has been in these draft rankings. If the Reds were able to grab him at 32, I'll need to be restrained.

So who's gonna draft the pedo?

Would not be opposed to the Stros taking Burger at 15
Faedo might be my top choice though
