Nah I'm not saying it's in the bag, I've just felt both teams would hold serve at home until a Game 7 and then who knows.

Pittsburgh goes through stretches of dominance, and stretches of pure lethargy. Columbus needs to maintain a high level of play and not back off the throttle or else they are toast.

Only one series that has had three games played is not 2-1, and that is a lower seeded team winning (Habs over the Blots). As always, the playoffs deliver. Best postseason in North American sports, by far.

What? Matt Cooke doing something incredibly dirty? Impossible, I say! Why, he's reformed! Just like the last time. And the time before that..
Seriously, WTF is this guy still allowed in the league? He's a disgrace.

Tempers rising in the Ducks - Stars series. Ducks upset the Stars are "targeting" Getzlaf's face injury. Could pop on Wed night:
Ducks Forward Patrick Maroon:

Stars coach Ruff:
Ducks Forward Patrick Maroon:
quote:
“They’re going to get in our best player’s face, I guess Wednesday night we’re going to have to do the same thing,”
quote:
We’re going to have to show that intensity. We can’t let that happen to our star players. They’ll get it.”
Getzlaf:
quote:
“You’ve got to stay as disciplined as you can, but you have to protect yourself, too. I never expected them to target my face that much,”
Ducks coach Boudreau:
quote:
We’ve warned the refs about them, anyway. It’s just something that I guess you do anything to win, but it’s not something that I think our team would do...We’ll take them and be as physical and be as mean as they want, but obviously they know there’s something wrong with his jaw, so they’re going after it
Stars coach Ruff:
quote:
I’m pretty sure if you watch the scrums, our guys got punched in the face a few times...Eventually you’re going to punch back. For us, we know we’ve got a good skating team and I think that we can frustrate

Getzlaf, rephrased:
How dare a guy who I outweigh by 50 pounds punch me back after I've hit him the face three times?

Wow call the fricking penalty refs you can't let the goalie get knee'd in the head 5 min after whistle.

Boston just went empty net on Detroit for the 3-0 win.

Yup, 2 quick goals and that was all Boston needed.

Rangers 4-1 over the Flyers retake home ice.

Kings already down 1-0, Quick 1 goal on 2 shots.
Save percentage of .804 in playoffs.

The Kings have allowed 68 shots in the first two games. Even if Quick had his career .924 save percentage against that level of shot volume, he would have allowed 6 goals in the first two games.
The Sharks are skating circles around the Kings. I know you're the only person alive who doesn't think Quick is a good goalie, and he hasn't played well in the first two games (though it was an 824 Sv%, no reason to exaggerate how bad it is -- it's bad). But with that shot volume, even Hasek levels of goaltending would mean a lot of goals allowed.
The problem for the Kings in the first two games has been defense. You can't allow 34 shots a game and expect to win.

Wut? I have never said this once, I think he's a good goalie, just overrated when people call him the best in the NHL or even #2.
He's had some soft goals, too.
Not the same Quick.

Boyle to Carcillo was the couple voted least likely to register a point
Hags got his arse kicked - someone should have reminded him he's a finesse guy
