Notre Dame's "resume"

Only loss is to Clemson
Signature win was against Temple, the same Temple team that lost by 21 points to South Florida.
2 loss Standord will be the best team that they have an opportunity to beat
Going into that game they will have beaten no teams that will be ranked in the top 25 at the end of the season. If they win that, that will be their lone win against a top 25 team (assuming they don't knock them out the top 25 with a win)
Why should this team get the benefit of a doubt against a one loss or undefeated Big 12 team?

I still think they lose to Stanford. If OU keeps winning, I think they sneak in this year.

You really think the committee will leave out a 1 loss Notre Dame team?
The media will lose it.
And I say that being in complete agreement with your point

Because that's the world we live in, unfortunately. No one can honestly support this reasoning with logic...only with fallacies such as "the eye test" and the like. The ultimate difference all comes down to PR and media relations, and that's one thing in which ND will always be elite.

No, if they're comparing them against a team like Okie St. However, it would be very interesting to see it against a big program like Oklahoma. OU might end up with a stronger resume by the end of the year.

If OU wins out they'll absolutely have a better resume
And I'd favor OU in a head to head match up on a neutral field against ND

Then the CFP committee would look at common opponents between OU and ND. OU had a bad loss to Texas. Notre Dame curb stomped Texas 38-3.

USC could still win the pac12...

As of right now their resume is good. Yeah temple and navy aren't big names but are both having solid seasons. Plus let's be honest, this thing is all about money and ND will bring that.

Exactly. USC controls their own destiny in the Pac 12 South. Stanford is leading the Pac 12 North. If ND beats Stanford, then they would have victories against the top 2 teams in the Pac 12.

meh, it pains me to say but SC is going to get boat raced by Oregon this weekend. If ND wins out, they'll be in. But that Stanford game is going to be a tough one for you guys.

Your best win is against a service academy. OU just beat a top 5-10 team in their home stadium.

Oregon/USC is going to be a good game. Both teams are getting better as the season goes on. I've been impressed with the job Clay Helton has done. I think Cody Kessler could get it done against the Ducks.
I agree about the Stanford game. Its going to be a tough game; Stanford matches up better against ND than they do against Oregon.

Red pill, if OU wins out, they'll have wins over OSU, BU, TCU, and UT.

and a loss vs Texas
