Considering Riverside was gonna get shutout if we played for another month, the 2nd TD was irrelevant.

“We always have this thing where it’s ‘the other team can’t stop us, we are the only ones that can stop ourselves and we did stop ourselves,” Riverside receiver Herb McGee said. “I don’t think it had too much to do with them, It was us we didn’t execute and it showed up on the scoreboard.”

Riverside had 135 total yards, and half of that came on their last series before the QB threw the last INT. I'm pretty sure Notre Dame had a little bit to do with it.

quote:

Aiding in the Rebels offensive woes was the fact that Riverside’s starting quarterback Jared Butler went down with an injury late in the second quarter

He didn't exactly light it up before he got hurt so I don't see how this would have changed anything. Sounds like more excuses.

quote:

Riverside couldn’t find an offensive rhythm Friday. When that happened, all it took were a few mistakes to allow Notre Dame to do just enough offensively and earn the Division III crown.

More excuses. I'm starting to see a pattern here. So basically Riverside beat themselves, their ineffective QB got hurt, and they were the only team who made mistakes.

If both team played mistake free football the whole game with no flukes or turnovers, this game would still be deadlocked at 0-0

No, it would have ended in a 6-0 Notre Dame win.

Best post I've seen on here geauxLSU
Two very good teams went at it, very evenly matched. Sucks a few riverside fans had to come on here and cry.

Riverside has some crying ****** in here. ND defense dominated you guys so bad. 4 turnovers in the first quarter and you could only muster 3 points

Riverside by about 14 in this one. Too many athletes and too balanced for ND. ND is also too one dimensional

Why did ND drop a classification?

Please explain to us how ND purposely dropped down in classification. Can't wait to hear this.

I'm surprised he stopped trolling the Money Board for real estate clients long enough to know ND was playing for the State Championship.

Parkview dominated Uhigh and beat Catholic. I am sure they could beat ND.

By transitive property, parkview is actually the entire state champ.

Except for 2A, you'd be correct. PBS gave up 400 yards to Riverside who had trouble gaining a first down in the Dome.
