YUP the REFS had NOTHING to do with the outcome of this game..

Duke was in foul trouble early and they called charges against both teams. UNC had a free throw disparity to their end for most of the game. Keep trying

There were ALOT of calls that were NOT called on Duke that should have been. YES. That made a difference.

the refs didn't blow this one. Did they blow a few calls in the second half, yes, mainly on Plumlee. He should have been called for a charge instead it was a block, but then they called a shitty touch foul on duke on the ensuing trip down the floor. If UNC would have made their free throws, they would have had a better shot to win. That and their shot selection before Hairston and Bullock came back in was terrible.

And THIS is kind of thing I was talking about in my 1st post in this thread. I said at halftime that Plummle was gonna get away with whatever he wanted in the 2nd half. And he sure did.

That was really the only thing he blatently got away with. He was not aggressive at all in the second half. He let McAdoo and a couple other blow right by him several plays. So it's not like he was just running people over and the refs swallowed the whistle. The charge called a block was as bad as it gets, but shite like that happens in basketball. Refs obviously had a bad angle, or thought the guy was moving, which he kinda was, but so was Hairston on the last charge he took. It was a good game, I was glad the refs didn't dictate it. frick Duke.

What do y'all think march 9th will be like?

My early guess is UNC by 8-10 if they played like they did last night

Can't expect the refs to call a charge every time McAdoo, Hairston, and Simmons went flying. It was clear what UNC's strategy was against Plumlee and it frustrated him for a while.

Typical Roy where it takes him almost the entire season to figure out what his best lineup is. I will be interested to see if he keeps the 4 around 1 lineup, don't know if they can count on that type of effort from Bullock and Hairston every game.

I don't know. Carolina is young, and is very hot and cold. I didn't expect them to play like they did last night. It had blowout written all over it. I think Carolina at home, you have to give them the early nod. If Kelly is back by then, which i doubt, Duke kills them. But hell it's probably going to be more like it was tonight. I haven't watched much basketball this season, but Duke looked really sloppy last night. Especially playing at home. They had double digit turnovers in the first half. That is not something Duke does at home unless they are getting run like Carolina did to them last year.

Well he had 2 key players out last night that were injured, so the lineups will be different next time around.

I was reading somewhere that they arent going to rush Kelly back and will probably have him ready by ACC tourney

At this point this is the best option. They can beat Thug U at home and UNC in Chapel Hill without him if they stop the stupid turnovers and cheap fouls

There is no need for him to play until the ACC tourney, so that' the best thing. He can play 2 games to get warmed up and be ready for the NCAA tournament.

I disagree. I think they need him back sooner so they can try and get their chemistry solid before the NCAAT. The current Duke squad is a pretty different one than without Kelly. Look what happened when Kyrie Irving came back into the lineup after a long break. The chemistry between the guards was fricked and they didnt have any time to recover

Did anyone see the end of the manager's game that they showed a clip of? Much better than the actual game
