I know of him after he ripped Aggy a new one. Other than that, I don't know much. LSU football has been centered around Fournette the past couple of years.

I tell the LSU guy I sit next to if they both were available in the same draft and I have the draft picks to make it work I would wait and take Guice later because Guice + what you'd get with the higher pick is going to be worth more than what you could get with Fournette and the lower pick.

I think Fournette is great but I bet his actual incremental value over Guice isn't as much as his draft pick over Guice's, unless Guice has a monster year and gets drafted about the same place.

They are different backs. I concede that I don't know too much about Guice, but I'm taking Fournette. Guice may have better vision and is more shifty than Fournette, but when Fournette turns the corner and gets going, whew....he just punishes players. Off the top of my head, I can vividly envision him pulverizing players from: Aggy, Auburn (multiples), Ole Miss, Texas Tech, and Florida.

ETA: Fournette will need to learn and taper that in some and hold the aggression off for the playoffs.

Scouts know about him. Sites like PFF have recognized his greatness. Other fans? Meh who knows or cares

Guice will be an all American and top 15 pick.

He'll fit perfectly in Canada's offense and will destroy the combine.

He's going to be a relatively punishing back in the NFL, but I personally have questions about his vision. I actually think Guice is better at that, and will be better than Fournette as a result.

He reminds me of Chubb with that strong base and ridiculous balance, but has better vision and playmaking ability.

I watch Georgia but I don't live in SEC country and nobody really talks college football.

I didn't recognize the name in the title. Read a few replies and remember him having a good bowl game.

From what I've seen he has a good feel for when a hit is coming and is able to avoid the big contact. That should help Guice in the long run. He runs extremely hard too, not giving up on contact.

I think most avid CFB fans I know would know who he is, but the one I talk to is a big FSU fan so he kind of knows what's what

That's what the people who were covering the bowl game were saying once it was decided that Fournette wouldn't play. In fact, one of the announcers didn't even know who he was in the pregame discussion.

There's no way this is true. Luginbill called that game, he's been following all of these kids since Juniors in High School.

Luiginbill was a sideline reporter I think. Someone did make a joke that they had no idea who Guice was. One of the booth broadcasters, and they used that to Segway to luiginbill talking about him coming out of high school and this season

this also probably isnt the best place to ask this considering most people who post here probably have heard of him due to the fact that the majority of MSB posters are LSU fans who have talked about him

I think the point of the thread was understood

Not really, certainly not casual fans

I don't think he's nationally known at this point. Dude's a baller, but LSU flew pretty well under the radar most of last season. I doubt many casual fans in the Midwest or on the west coast know much about him. That'll prolly change once he goes Rd 1 next year.

The hit Guice delivered in the bowl game clip was brutal, a total FU and summed up LSUs dominance in it

IMO he was the better RB for LSU for the past two years.

This is a true statement, not an opinion. IF we're being honest. I'm on record on here for saying this 1.5 years ago

There are probably only 5 or so players than at an average college football fan can name going into next season, excluding their team.

He is not one of them.
