ESPN asked 23 SEC and Big 12 coaches who would you want your son to play for.

Bob Stoops got 5, Mark Dantonio and David Shaw were second at 3 three votes each.

Saban got no votes.

Even taking his tenure and consistency into consideration, I just don't see how Big Game Bob had the most votes.

In interviews and coaches shows, Stoops seems like one of the most likable big time coaches and best communicators. Seems to have a lot of loyalty with former players and assistants too.

If you think stoops is a garbage coach, then you are either too young, too stupid, or both.

Not really. As a father you want to send your son to a coach who will grow him as a man and help him improve his craft. Saban is the best at winning, but apparently these coaches don't think he is the best at what I mentioned

The coaches interviewed probably don't have sons good enough to ever sniff the field at Alabama. Good call on their part

This is far from the first time he has been questioned in his character.

Where was his character questioned in the article? Where was he even mentioned?

I've actually lost count of how many coach's sons have walked on at Bama. I know Del Rio and Rex Ryan, but it seems like there's been a couple others.

Rex's son went to Clemson instead FWIW.

He's screwing with the potential professional career of a graduate right now, so I could see that.

most coaches kid are not P5 players. So who gives a rats arse. Getting those that fit the needs is more important. Can anyone name me a college football coach who had a son play at a high level. Give me 5 names please
