What a coaching mis match vs rich rod

Absolutely. If we don’t get those three turnovers for TDs, we probably lose something like 41-10. Abomination.

Hire a high school coach, get high school results.

Dez is the offense coordinator as well as the head coach. Defense had to score three of our four TDs today. Without those, we get blown the frick out.

It was only two short years ago we were ranked 16th in the country. Now this shite. frick our administration. Didn’t even bother doing a coaching search.

Rich Rod schooled Des' arse as expected .

I was thinking a talent advantage may have been enough to overcome it but nah

Karma after the ULL coach mouthed off about the Shreveport Bowl.

Hopefully they never get invited back.

The Shreveport bowl has two watchable teams this year with TTU and Cal this year. The joke is on the ULL coach

The second largest public university in Louisiana deserves a stadium upgrade.

We also deserve a coaching staff worthy of competing at the FBS level. Having to deal with this coming off consecutive top 20 ranked seasons is a failure of epic proportions for the UL administration.

He referred to playing in a dome vs how cold it was last year. It was nothing against Shreveport, just click bait journalism.

Des is a shitty coach but he was comparing playing last year with single digit temps at the Indy bowl to playing inside at the Superdome.

He was trying to throw shade to fans bitching about going to the NOLA bowl

That’s all the Lafayette fan base cares about. But but, he’s one of us!!!!!!
Plus he’s too good to play in the cold @ Indy Bowl.

That’s not the way the Shreveport news media ran it last night.

Said he will have uncomfortable conversations with Shreveport coaches and parents during recruiting after taking a shot at Shreveport.

No that's not what the fan base cares about. That's what it got stuck with by a lazy administration

Cajun Fans can still salvage a .500 Bowl Record in 2023 if Billy Napier gets a win in his Bowl Game.

He’s still seen by many in the metro area as an Ambassador for their program.

BS…that’s all they care about. Then why did they hire him? ULL had a chance to build on Billy’s success but instead with the lazy, local hire.

Partly the fan base’s fault. They all had “Napier Fever” and wanted some link to stay from that impressive run.

The problem is the guy they picked to stick around and lead has the Football Head Coaching IQ of a pecan.

The fan base did not hire him. Everyone that I talked to thought it was a fricking joke when his name was being floated around

I’m only saying they kept them in the game. 3 TD’s. Otherwise, a blowout was happening.

Regardless, the Cajuns still have to give Michael Desormeaux a courtesy one year extension after today.

He previously signed five-year contract worth $3.8 million, making his base salary @ $755,000 per year.

That means 3 years currently left. No recruits are signing with a Coach that doesn’t currently have a contract that will keep him for his first 4 years.

That's about $500k per more than they should be paying him
