The FO blew the trade deadline too. I didn't want to lose our prospects either, but we needed someone better than Wood and Latos. Especially since it's the last year with Greinke (more than likely). Damn same that the Kershaw/Greinke combo may never pitch in a World Series. frick you Mattingly.

i didnt hate the wood trade. i actually thought it was pretty smart and applauded it at the deadline. gave up hector olivera for a young, team controlled lefty that has his moments. but yea, not getting an elite arm is whats going to bite us in the arse unless kershaw and greinke show the frick out.

i dont know why, i feel like we bring him back. if not him, then price. if we lose greinke and we dont pick up an elite arm, im going to melt the frick down. but next years rotation of kershaw/greinke(or price)/ryu/mccarthy/wood makes me feel pretty damn good going forward. its a good thing that we arent the phillies circa 2011 and that this isnt our window closing. our window is still open

Who else can pay for Greinke?

I haven't seen anything on him, I thought he had at least 2-3 more years on his deal...

he does, but thats a player option. he can opt out this year and there is a zero percent chance he does not

It's a shame the Mets won't resign him.

i think the two teams are pretty evenly matched. im not gonna go digging for it but i saw a tweet yesterday that showed how similar the offenses where in games 1 and 2

I don't want Price at all. We already have an ace that has issues in the postseason. I liked the Wood trade also, but we needed better than that. See what just happened to him in this inning.

The difference in these two teams is the 3rd pitcher, I would imagine.

Gotcha.

Dude is going to be fricking rich. Best job in Sports these days. If you're good of course.

And frick the Mets are hot.

This post season has to be on pace to break the HR record. Holy frick.

Too late, but Wood should have never been in this game. The Mets have absolutely kicked his butt even when he has gone well (rookie year and 2014).

If there is another possible long guy, he should have been in.
