I didn't get to watch a ton of games this year, and maybe this has been discussed, but what happened to Rosey, and how does he have so many saves? There has to be a record for most saves with the fewest 1-2-3's.

He has a ton of saves but he has an ERA over 3 and a whip of 1.41. He hasnt been all that great this year.

I know someone commented earlier in the season that Matheny has over used him.

meh. i think its just the fact he only has 1 pitch. if he had been overused he wouldnt have been hitting 100 last night.

It also seems that he is much more effective with a couple of days off. If he gets a day or two off he comes out throwing 99/100 but if he pitches 2 or 3 days in a row he comes out throwing 95/96 and can't blow anybody away

Which isn't good for a closer who hasgot to be able to pitch 2 and 3 days in a row

Hasn't been able to throw the changeup effectively in fastball counts. Maybe they should ship him over to work with Duncan in the offseason... a 94 or 95 MPH sinker might be enough of a change of pace.

Pretty sure Duncan is working for the Dbacks so doubt that will happen

One thing we re all leaving out is truly his biggest problem is control.

Sure stronger secondary pitch would be nice but when he locates his fastball he hardly ever has a problem

Hey 98 go ahead and start that game 4 thread. Your threads are hotter than Matt Carpenter right now!

I'm definitely planning on starting it but not yet

I do have to personally apologize to all of you and our team for Saturday night as after that debacle of a Tennessee game I was forced to turn to the bottle and preceded to get completely shitshowed. I still watched the game but felt it would be a good idea for me to stay away from trying to start/keep up with a game thread

He was awful.

He was giving 2 inches on both sides of the plate, and he wasn't consistent.
