Are the Cubs fielding pigeons in a last ditch effort to get a W? Are they gonna come out of the bullpen?

8:00 is a really odd start time for a LCS game. I don’t know why the ALCS couldn’t be a 3:00 start (like it used to be), and the NLCS could be a 7:00 start.

Better pigeons than horses.

Lineup out:

Zobrist
Schwarber
KB
Rizzo
Contreras
Jay
Russell
Heyward
Hendricks

Baez out, Schwarber in the 2 hole. Not surprised about Javy, but that's the highest Schwarber has been in the lineup since he went to AAA if I'm not mistaken.

Going with the guys I split the season ticket package with tomorrow. A win tonight and the place will be jumping. Lose and it'll be a morgue. Let's get this one.

I can see Javy being a defensive substitution later in the game, because he's been dreadful at the plate. But if Joe is focusing on offense, why move Schwarbomb up to second? Of course, no one has been consistent with the bat, besides maybe Addie.

I just want Darvish to win so Steve Dennis on ESPN radio here in Dallas will shut the frick up about Yu somehow being at fault for the Rangers shitty record when he was pitching this year. Dude got frick all for run support and somehow got turned into an albatross team killer by that arse.

All NLCS times last year were 7:08 central.

So I don’t know why the 4:00 and 8:00 start times then. What was wrong last year that it had to be changed? Oh well, I’m so glad I’m not stuck on the East Coast. frick that time zone.

I'd say that walk-off solidified Lackey not being on the team next year. Good riddance to a douchebag.

I just wish LA was getting 6:30 or 7 local start times. But that will never happen

Yeah, I don't know if hitting two of our most disappointing hitters all year in Zo and Schwarbs 1-2 is the answer.

Joe continually confounds me with the moves he makes. Hope he comes up smelling roses, I'd love to eat crow.

Maybe it isn't, but they are Cubs playoff legends. Maybe there is some magic left.

Uhh because there's another game being played at that same time.
