The process didn't work for Saban at Miami. It sure worked for John Wooden at UCLA. For a very long time.

It might have. Maybe it could have worked with more time. Or with different circumstances. He might be a better coach now.

Seriously? Sabans only limitiation with football knowlege / scheme is that he's coaching a revolving door of 18-22 year old college kids. I'd be willing to bet his Scheme and knowlege are neck and neck with Bill.

I've read the thread and it seems that we've boiled The Process down to 3 key tenets:

1) Be a hyper-knowledgeable and super detail oriented coach.

2) Get great players.

3) Be willing to adjust if a better idea comes along.

I think we've cracked the code, folks! Please send a link with the recipe to the LSU Football Department.
