If it's up to Tim Credeur, he'd be fighting on the card too (per his response on Twitter).

I was hoping to see Belcher, Credeur, Guillard, AND Barry on this card. That'll probably be too much to ask.

I can see Belcher, Guillard, and Barry. Especially Melvin. He's the most promising fighter from NO. Now that he is in Greg Jackson's camp, he can really make some noise at LW. Anyone know when his next fight is?

Melvin is fighting Shane Roller in Vegas on July 2. Pat Barry is fighting Kongo on June 25 on Versus.

Not cool using first names Tojo, not cool.

Anyway a bigger stronger wrestler is a huge risk to GSP. No way they go that route.

I thought about him but he is basically a WW anyway.

Good choice especially with the Captain American angle they are trying to take with him.

More importantly, I can't think of anyone (after Diaz) that deserves a title shot @ WW

I think the winner of Condit and Dong Hyun Kim is definitly deserving of a title shot.

Stun Gun is just a much weaker blanket than GSP and Condit is gonna get whatever beating Diaz catches but worse.

I just checked UFC's roster and couldn't even find a middleweight that I thought might be able to drop down and compete for a title.

Assuming Dana IS able to bring Diaz over, someone's going to have to budge in that division. I would imagine GSP, Diaz and Shields would remain at the top of that division.

There'd really be no one left for GSP to fight. (I don't consider Condit or Kim to be legitimate threats). Lord knows Diaz and Shields won't fight each other and it'd be hard for them not too at some point. Which, if any, do you guys think would make a jump up to MW?

Shields. He does own a win over Dan Henderson.

Do people not understand Dana can do whatever he wants with the guys under contract to Zuffa. Is it bc he said "business as usual"?, well they've already fired most of the Strikeforce staff and brought in their own guys. Nick Diaz's contract had a clause where he could box, so I'm sure there was no non-compete clause. This fight is happening.

He also said at the very first presser after buying Strikeforce that he'd make fights people want to see no matter what.. and this is a huge 1 mil. plus buy fight imo.

I see GSP beating Diaz easily. He'll stand with him for a minute or two each round, take him down, and GnP him for the remaining 3 minutes..
GSP will jab and dry hump his way to victory as usual.

It would be a really good fight IMO, though I dont think Diaz wins

You would see him beat George up a bit and maybe get a round or two though on the judges cards

Diaz is going to force the action. I think Diaz is tougher opponent and would put on a much more entertaining fight than Shields ever could dream of.

I suppose GSP will find a way to win, and when he does I will never doubt him again (until he fights Silva).

The writer that did the original interview still thinks Diaz is next for GSP, but I guess not in December.. and not in Montreal. Houston in October in Minute Maid Park... would be mindblowing.

Upon reading further news,Diaz still looks like GSP's next opponent and the next TUF coaches will be decided after the events of this weekends ppv. (not Rampage, not Nelson, not Mir)
