We are undefeated since we got him and demoted Wideman to healthy scratch status.

He's been great. his addition has really rounded out our D pairings

Dwi. Mad Max's goal shoulda counted earlier. Bitching about penalty is a moot point.

pretty sad year for the stars. especially after last season. go figure

...but they took care of business last night! High intensity game. Glad it paid off for them in the third.

Glad to hear it. I think he needed a change of scenery hockeywise. I know he's completely healed from the knee, but I just didn't see him look right all year.

Huge win for the Preds last night! Coming back from being behind, and then finally winning on a beautiful goal in OT.

Things are looking up.

As for my primary team, the Rangers.....I'm not inspired overall by Hank's play recently, or Vigneault's lineup decisions. The team is winning though. Not optimistic that we can beat the Caps, Pens, or Habs when it comes right down to it.

I think the Rangers can beat the Habs, their most likely first round opponent. It would be an upset of course, but the Rangers have their share of guys who can score, and I still like their defensive corps. Outside of Pacioretty, the Habs don't have many offensive skill players who scare you (ok, Radulov), and if the Rangers can slow down that top line, I think they have a good shot at winning the series. The Rangers have guys who can slow you down.

I mean, they won't be the favorites thanks to that Carey Price guy, but Lundqvist can go toe to toe with anyone. And if they can beat the Habs, the Rangers should make the ECF where they will hope to meet a Caps team they have largely owned in the postseason.

Vrbata and Doan staying put. Happy for Doan, idk why they didn't get something for Vrbata. Need to resign him since we didn't trade him. He's probably worth 5 points a year for shoot out goals alone.

Flyers traded Streit to Tampa for Filppula. Yzerman then sent Streit to Pittsburgh. Picks involved too. Bolts freeing up cap space.

flames got Lazar and Kostka from OTT for Jokkipaka (scrub) and a 2nd .

not sure what to think of this. lazar has 0 goals and 1 assist in 33 games.

Stevie Y then flipped the sentient corpse of Mark Streit to the Penguins for the 4th round pick he just gave the Flyers for taking on Filppula's awful contract and NTC.

The man is a dark wizard. He got out from under one of the worst contracts in hockey, and picked up a 7th round pick in the process.
