The Skate that Crosby left hanging behind so Ovi would run it over. Wait that's tripping

Would have loved to watch Capitals/Penguins shootout. Sucks not having NBCSN.

Yes! I am mad! You must be an idiot if you can't tell! Just kidding. Not about being mad but about you being an idiot because I recognized the sarcasm in your post. Oh well still on top of the NHL. I actually feel better after typing this out. I am no longer mad. I am very happy with where the Capitals are sitting at the moment. Anyway Best bank Tiger thank you for helping me through this!

What a fun game. This was a lot like the Caps-Leafs game about a month ago, when the Caps also forgot to play defense and re-enacted the 1980s.

Nice rally by both teams, and each deserved a point for the laughs. Yes, Crosby tripped Ovi. And yes, Hornqvist clearly interfered with Grubi on the Malkin goal, but... it's Chinatown, Jake. Don't expect an NHL ref to give you a call in Pittsburgh's building. Hornqvist high-sticked Oshie with the butt end of his skate, directly in front of the ref, and there was no call. That's just how it goes.

Both of these teams are now just killing time until the playoffs. We all want to see these games with some stakes.

9 goals scored in the second period. I don't think I've been that invested into a non-playoff hockey game in quite some time.

Thought they were going to overturn the Malkin goal for goalie interference though honestly.

Yeah, I thought the contact on the OTGW was incidental and there was no real chance of that being overturned, but the Malkin goal? Jesus, he grabbed his stick. I didn't think that was particularly close....

I also thought there was no chance they'd overturn a goal that capped off a hat trick.

Jackets back to looking like a good team, up 4-1 over Carolina. I will say the Hurricanes PK is impressive

Stars win 7-6. Defense is now optional in the NHL, I guess

Yeah..wtf happened in MSG. Very unlike Lundqvist but he's been slumping lately. 7 goals by a Dallas team on the road is nuts

I am so tired of the Blackhawks on the NBC networks. Give us some variety of teams dammit!

Surprise, surprise, Blues lose at home to Senators again. Hutton is back to being Hutton again.

Yes and 7 goals in 2 periods at that. Henrik hasn't been himself this year. Think he may have peaked two years ago unfortunately. Not that the org has done any favors keeping elderly defenseman out past their prime
