It has minimal to do with Bob being out. Too many defensive lapses, turnovers, and missed passes.

In the early part of the season, sure. But they've been generally playing all around terrific hockey the entire season. They haven't had to rely on Bob standing on his head much at all.

They're pretty close to full strength.
Missing Oleksiak is a gap, but those injuries aren't an excuse for their $10 million worth of goalies being inconsistent.
Both seem to play better off the bench. Whomever is the starter will give up 2-3 and then the one of the bench will come in and pitch a shutout. I suppose some of that is the leading team trying to merely preserve a lead, but still, inexcusable goalie play.

Jackets probably didn't deserve it tonight anyway. But let's not harp too much. Bob should be back Tuesday; heading back home. A chance for redemption against Carolina. I think we'll see a strong effort Tuesday. I'll be at the game.
