My god Sidney Crosby with one of his greatest goals in his career.

Blackhawks got shafted tonight. Weak, very weak call on Toews for goalie interference in OT. He got the stick between the legs (to the balls) treatment and pushed into the goalie. Results in an OT PP goal with one of the Sedin sisters interfering with the Hawks keeper while the other one scores. No call. Even after review. No call. (Okay, he brushed Darling, but after that BS call on Toews there should have been a make-up call.)
I guess with the Wild winning tonight the NHL needs to manufacture a playoff race.

So, with regards to Sid's goal, great goal. I grew up playing with this kid and his sophomore year of high school he did the exact same play, split the D and went one handed on the back hand top shelf. Ended up playing Juniors with the Des Moines Buccaneers and then D1 for the Air Force Academy.
Point is, Sid's goal looks awesome but is not that crazy. Oh, and in 1990 we used wood sticks, so yeah, there is a difference as anybody who has played with both knows.

tough loss at Washington last night for flames. allowed 2/3 PP goals and Tkachuk was suspended for elbowing Dougthy.

Man, the Sabres boards are furious today. Right before Crosby's brilliant goal, he speared O'Reilly in the nuts and didn't get a penalty. As Crosby scored an empty netter at the end of the game, Evander Kane slashed him across the face, so the players were pretty pissed, too.

It's like why does he still feel the need to be a dirty, whiny little shite? I mean, Crosby is a great player and he doesn't need to stoop to this kind of crap, but it's such an inherent part of his game. He's such a little punk. I mean, this isn't like Gordie Howe dishing out vicious checks. This is petty stick fouls that is the domain of the game's rats. And it is so sadly unnecessary.
It's why he'll never be Mario.
