NFL's Toughest and Weakest Divisions

Toughest: NFC West. The defense played in this division allows them to beat almost anyone.
Record 11-5. One of those losses being St. Louis over Seattle and, so 10-4 against outsiders.
San Fran looks tough as expected. Arizona is a surprise, but if they continue to play defense and Kolb keeps up his play, they can do some damage. Seattle, should have loss to Green Bay but played well enough to win the game. See Arizona for reasons they will be successful. St. Louis is below average but will improve under Fisher throughout the year.
Others in contention would be the AFC North and NFC East.
Weakest: NFC South.
Record 6-10. Divisional losses Saints to Panthers, Panthers to Atlanta, Panthers to Tampa. Lots of beating up on one another. Outside record 3-7.
Outside of Atlanta the division is down and even Atlanta's wins are against the AFC West and the Panthers. The Panthers were manhandled by the Giants. The Bucs find ways to blow leads and have zero offense. The Saints looked strong against Green Bay but have really struggled in their other games. Sad to say for one of the divisions considered very strong in the past.
Others in contention AFC West and AFC South.

AFC East as the weakest deoending on how you view the Bills

IDK you don't think the East may be tougher overall than the West?

AFC South is the weakest and it's not even close.

quote:I think that argument can be made as they have beat up on one another as well. But we have seen Arizona over Philly and Seattle over Dallas. The game tonight will give us a better idea of where they stand.

You gotta love the parity in the NFL. Pretty interesting how it changes year to year.

If the Falcons get to the superbowl, then all nfc south teams will have played in the superbowl since the divisional re-alignment in 2002.
All other divisions already have to bow the knee because all the nfc south teams have made the conference championship game already since 2002 re-alignment

Haven't all the NFC West teams done that as well or was STL's last superbowl before the re-alignment?

I think he was referring to conference championships. 9ers were there last year. Super bowl, 9ers are the only team that hasn't gone since 2002. Has every team in the south?
