But this would mean that I have to listen to Todd McShay and Mel Kiper for the draft...

How many FA does he miss out on because he spits on them during his pitch to sign

You you can basically just work on TV and become an NFL GM? I thought this sport prided itself on being so complex and intricate. It's all smoke and mirrors.

I have noticed if you played in the nfl, and you were a deceptively fast lunch pail type player you have a decent chance of becoming a GM.

However, if you are a natural athlete and have raw speed, you seem to not have as good of a chance to be a GM.

Not all people who work on TV are equal. Mayock probably watches more film on prospects than your average GM since he doesn't have a scouting department working under him. He has to know the details to do his job, the guy literally talks for hours during the combine while dudes are just working out. I don't know how I feel about this only because washington is so dysfunctional but I'd much rather a guy like Mayock over John Lynch.

So the Redskins hear one compliment from Belichick about Mayock said on air by Rich Eisen and they want to hire the guy as their GM?!?!

This is like Melrose getting a HC job 2yrs after he last coached because he's good on TV! Hope Mayock lasts longer than 2 weeks.

The other 31 teams would have the Redskins' draft board readily available online.

Sort of the opposite of Matt Millen.
