Remember when you kept saying didn't care about the NFL?

Good times, good times.

While NFL ratings gets all the pub, check this out. Still a number of weeks left, but lots of ground to makeup for the premier SEC package.

Not looking good for SEC on CBS. I've got viewership down around 30% through Week 7 (no Week 1 game this season & only 1 Bama to date)

because you're a moron. but the full blown PR war they've waged against a sitting president after 2 comments and a handful of 140 character tweets isn't helping the anti American image that kneeling for the anthem creates.

it's just common sense...whatever your reasons, no matter how lucid and well thought out...kneeling for the anthem and making displays against the president isn't going to be helpful.

I don't watch the NFL...i'm curious if this is the beginning of a come to jesus moment...and my objections were never centered around the flag. but goodell constantly proving me right as it concerns every single thing I've said about him is enjoyable.

this is a guy who started in public relations. whether it's ray rice or kneeling...he's the worst person in the field. it's amusing that he's the highest paid.

What you posted is comparison that isnt that same at all. You compared how national broadcasts are doing across the nation......

Please post how the SEC teams are doing in their local markets......I have a very very very hard time thinking they are down across the board there

basically any claim that the national ratings sink has nothing to do with declining interest looks foolish. it's not hurricanes, it's not elections, it's not matchups

Why can't all of those things be a factor? Was true that ratings dropped in past elections cycles? If so why was 2016 different? Have 1 off disrasters like hurricanes affected ratings before? That could be part of it no? Also while most NFL games are on network tv does cord cutting impact it as well? Do the old methods of counting ratings impact that?

I'm not sure what answer you are looking for, i assume you want to blame it on the protests? I'm sure that's part of to. I also heard some people are turned off by the CTE revelations.

But ultimately what do you care? Why do so many seem to revel in this? A classic case of rooting against the successful business. And what do you think it means? Check MLB ratings vs 20-30 years ago. NBA ratings vs 20-30 years ago. Those leagues survive and thrive today,

I think for most people it's these low IQ black players making 10 million dollars a year comparing themselves to modern day slaves and praising fidel castro.

But keep on with your drivel.

Why would a bad hurricane in Houston or Florida effect the local Green bay market watching a green bay game?

You are NFLsessed. You hate it so much that you post about it every day. It’s amazing, really.

how does that contradict me in any way? if you were familiar with my reasoning on the subject, it's expected

the nfl gets the headlines because of the perceived and once real brand invincibility.

there's definitely overlap between CFB and the NFL. they're also different. for instance. the SEC isn't the dominant force it once was. it's Alabama and then who cares. national ratings for a regional conference that isn't compelling...duh

I just posted the article. you're defensive because of years of emotional and financial investment. if you just want to watch football, go watch football.

or is it pissing in your cheerios much like kneeling does for other people...why, that would make you an enormous hypocrite.

Not contradicting, just pointing out that everything is down these days. This board has become obsessed with NFL ratings. BTW, you know I agree with you on the 'why' it's down.

Someone posted an article a week ago about how there's a few big reasons why, the biggest being cord cutting

You didnt post a reasonable comparison though.....

You compared national ratings in college football, to local market ratings for local teams in nfl.......

National ratings being down can be harmed by matchups and disasters etc etc

Local ratings being down across the board is a sign people arent watching in general

ask strongbackweakmind. he's argued with me for yearS...and he hates me...ask him if he thinks I would attribute the ratings to people who so dearly love the president, they've stopped watching.

their response to trump has exacerbated things and put them in a response position, but never have I ever attributed the declining ratings to trump voters being displeased with players protesting trump...the ratings decline and the kneeling predates September 22nd, 2017

but what i'm still waiting on is for someone to offer up any reasoning behind what I posted in the OP, not so much as an attempt
