In no specific order, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Adrian Peterson, AJ Green, Von Miller, JJ Watt, Tim Jennings, and Charles Tillman all head up the race for the MVP award, IMO.

Matt Ryan's 5 interception performance took him out of the race. At this time, Matt Ryan is performing as the 3rd best quarterback in the NFC South.

What does the MSB think?

Since they bounced back so strong from injury, Manning and Peterson are at the top. Followed by AJ Green.

Brees, Miller, Watt, Jennings, and Tillman aren't winning it.

The MVP race should be as follows:

1. Manning
2. Brady
3. Rodgers
4. Brees
5. Peterson

If you had me rank, however, which player I think is the best football player at his position relative to everyone else? It'd be:

1. JJ Watt
2. Adrian Peterson
3. Von Miller
4. AJ Green
5. Peyton Manning

Matt Ryan did a better job of completing passes to cardinals than any of the cardinals qb's have done all season. Peyton Manning has the MVP sowed up.

Drew Brees and Josh Freeman are out-performing Matt Ryan. Drew Brees is the given, and Josh Freeman has 1 more touchdown and 5 less interceptions.

Freeman doesn't have more playoff wins than Ryan either.

Is that how you judge a quarterback in the NFL? Yards?

I think more touchdowns and less interceptions is a better way of measuring it.

Congrats on your 6 extra yards while Brees has 8 extra touchdowns, that kind of logic is what leads an offense to score 0 points in a playoff game

Peterson over Manning IMO
Mainly because I find what he is doing as a RB more impressive due to rule changes that favor QB's. he is on pace for what 1800 yards? He has Ponder at QB and outside of Harvin no offensive help. Teams can stack box and he still runs through them.
Manning is having a great season coming off neck injury but plenty of QB's are having a great season and Manning isn't head and shoulders above them like I believe Peterson is on RB's. leads #2 rusher by like 120 yards avg 5.8 YPC, and 7 touchdowns

But Peyton gets a pass for throwing 3 picks in his first 7 attempts in the Atlanta game?

Every QB has a shitty game here and there.

of course, if that stat fits your dumbass argument then of course you think it's a better way to measure it

I think wins is the only way to measure it therefore Matt Ryan = Matt Schaub > all the rest

same way the Saints fans think winning one Super Bowl makes everything about their team better than the Falcons...

but you and I both know if you had to pick between Ryan and Freeman you'd pick Ryan every day of every week

You have very valid points. AP and Percy Harvin pretty much run the Viking's offense, and Harvin is now hurt. Plus we also have to mention that AP is doing all of this coming off of a terrible knee injury. It's simply amazing.

Well, since Peyton has 5 less interceptions and 4 more touchdowns, yes. He's also 2nd in passer rating.

Simply put, Matt Ryan just isn't MVP material.
