awwww yea. thats exactly what these league needs. more awesome and exciting thursday games

Tell me about it. The only time I watch a Thursday night game is the first game of the year or when the Saints play in one. And other than the first game of the year, I never use them for Eliminator League. That short week makes me nervous.
If they're going to continue to the stupid tradition, they need to give every team a second bye week before their Thursday night game.

These games suck because 4 days is not enough rest and time to prepare.

Let's add more of them.

Thursday night games this year were much better than last year, but after last year's disaster it could only go up from there

From the headline, I was expecting more than just shifting two games from the NFL Network to CBS/NBC. It's been a 16 game schedule of Thursday games the last two years. This is interesting though:

The NFL is in active discussions with prospective digital partners for OTT streaming rights to Thursday Night Football. A deal announcement is expected in the near future.

Two of the season's best games were on Thursday night this year:

Chiefs-Broncos week 2 and Vikings-Cardinals

So does football. It's just not the number used in the media reports or for salary cap purposes.

Wasn't Detroit Green Bay on a Thursday also?

10 of the Thursday games were decided by one possession. Believe it or not, the average Thursday game is better than the average Sunday game.

Good. The less I hear of Phil Simms, the better.
