UAB to FCS Ohio Valley in a drop down move?

or the Big 12 actually growing to 12 with addition of Central Florida and one more.

SEC, Big Ten, ACC and Pac 12 look solid

You misunderstood. I meant in the real world. ULL can't even get to Conference USA

With BYU, it's got to be the church affiliation or something that keeps it out. They have a national name and pack their place.

Cincinnati and Uconn? UH? UCF? To Big 12 would be my guess.

You have nothing to bring to the table; athletics or academic wise.

LINK

Colorado State (9-1) just announced that they are moving forward with a brand new, on campus stadium. This is a program that has a lot of upside. Brand new stadium and a great coach makes them very attractive. Plus it gets the Big 12 back into the Colorado market that im sure the Big 12 would love to have back. 31,256 students makes them a nice attractive big school, plus Fort Collins is growing rapidly (152,000). I think Colorado St could be a very interesting choice.

3 straight bowl wins! Longer than any current Big 12 teams. That conference needs Louisiana in order to have any legitimacy.

I think Colorado St, BYU or Cincinnati are the logical choices. The Big 12 needs a conference championship game just like everybody else.

I don't see UH or any other texas team going to big 12 until a current texas team leaves. It wouldn't expand the conferences market at all.

UCF would be a good fit and give the big 12 a presence in one of the biggest football states, so that would make sense.

I also think Louisville is a school that the big 12 needs. Imo they should have taken Louisville instead of WVU.

T-Boone Pickens mentioned Memphis the other day as a possible Big12 expansion. That would be awesome

I dont think you add UCF unless you add USF as well.

Why, when everyone has to play each other you get a true champion. No ducking the top teams thanks to crossover scheduling in the divisions. The way the SEC is setup, when your crossovers are Vandy & Kentucky you have a much easier road than if you get Ga. & Florida.

I guess the geography consideration is out the window already with West Virginia. The old Big 12 made a lot more sense geographically.

Even if UCF and Louiville were added, theres no logical way to split divisions. You'd have the Big 12 West and Big 12 East, Split by the SEC

When the playoffs eventually expand to 8 teams, the Big 12 better be ready for it. 5 conference champions and 3 wildcards. The Big 12 doesnt want to be caught sleeping with not having a title game. It would benifit them to expand now and get a championship game in place. Like it or not, an 8 team playoff is coming.

for basketball.

I think the Big 12 needs to lobby BYU hard. If they can't get them, their shortlist should include Cincy, La Tech, Memphis, Boise State, Notre Dame (might as well throw up a hail mary or two), and Nevada
