New Jersey Nets Hypothetically...

If you are the NJN what are you doing if you are lucky enough to win the lottery and recurve the number 1 OVR pick ?
At guards you have a young group with Devin Harris, Courtney Lee and Terrance Williams
They are really week up front outside of Lopez
So would you draft DeMarcus Cousins ahead of John Wall to pair with BL down low as a major force to be reckon with in the future.
Or is John Wall just to good to pass up
They also will be in the hunt in FA this summer. And cold likely land a young guy like Gay
So they'd have Harris, Lee, TWill, Gay, Cousins and Lopez. All under 26 I think.
Hell the TWolves could likely end up #2 in the draft. Would they draft Wall ? Then GS and Sacremento. Lol all could potentially pass on Wall with young productive PGs already on the roster.

wall is not somebody that you pass on. trade down, but if you can't get a deal done you take wall

you draft wall and see what you can get for him in a draft day trade.

id take cousins. anybody actually watching the damn college basketball games could understand why. if im the nets and i have devin harris, why do i wanna draft a turnover fricking machine? cousins is a monster.

I wouldn't take Cousins with the first pick no matter what because of the trade value that John Wall has. If you want Cousins trade down for him.

But what if Cousins goes number 2? Trading down for Cousins may not be possible, just saying.

As GM of the Nets, If I had the #1 pick I'd draft Wall. He's too good to pass up IMO. Then, wait to see who gets Cousins or Wesley Johnson and try to trade for one of them.
If a team can't make a fair trade for Wall, then keep him, deal Harris, and use the money you'd save by trading Harris in the FA market.
