I just stopped to get gas in his town on my way to Toledo Bend.

I was expecting to have to pop a cap in a few of his people before I got out of there.

I walked around downtown tonight looking for tapout and affliction shirts but all I saw were skinny jeans and mustaches. Lafayette is a hipster town.

Boomtown is the tits. I always believed the reason the Peppers struggled so much was because the party life was so good.

Is ULL trying to get in the Big 12 with this expansion?

I've been laughing throughout this thread. There is a lot of pie in the sky.

I think their mindset is, when the next conference realignment shuffle comes around, we want to be a school the other conferences look at as a possible addition. Right now that isn't the case. Right now, our facilities need upgrades and our budget (while it is rising with the RCAF) is still small and needs to get bigger. These are things that we need to address by the next time conferences are looking for new additions

For the record, I appreciate your message. Sports programs should be supporting the school, not the other way around.

Some people may like their sports subsidized by tax dollars, but not everyone.

It actually is a bit of an advantage, especially with teams who don't play us often. Most players aren't very bright and some get in to arguments with the student section pretty regularly. I've seen players and coaches both attempt to enter the student section, pretty funny.

They throw cups of water and get all mad but it just makes it worse.

So....if another good year in the new ULL stadium, we can expect about 25k in attendance, and about 35k empty seats. Yes, this makes perfect sense.
