Wouldn't surprise me to see Boeheim just go ahead and retire.

[Thank you Jay Bilas] for just saying what I said. this is not a bad punishment. Scholarships, vacating wins.. mean nothing. Like he said.. we can still be very good very fast, just pull scholarships from the end of the bench.

There are plenty more comments of this type thinking they got off easy and can just skate through these sanctions. What a bunch of tards.

Mccants did get 10 million from UNC. Must be nice.

226 men's basketball players were placed in no-show classes since 1999. That's pretty clear evidence.

Technically they did get off easy.

quote:

@DanWolken Syracuse penalties were administered under the “more lenient” penalty structure because violations occurred before the change. Ponder that.

quote:

@DanWolken If new penalty structure, Syracuse would have had a minim 2 year postseason ban and Boeheim suspension would’ve been at least 50% of season

quote:

@DanWolken Syracuse and the NCAA negotiated a statute of limitations for eligibility violations of May 4, 2003. How convenient.

In the scheme of what could have been levied against them, yes. But...

Strips them of 12 scholarships

Is HUGE.

I would be remiss if I didn't bring in some photos of Mrs. Juli Boeheim.

So the NCAA said it started in 01 but coincidentally cut off the statute of limitations a month after they won the title in 03?

NCAA will go easy on Carolina. It's the ACC flagship school. Deal with it.

The NCAA did put in the summary that Syracuse got off with "lesser" penalties since all of the violations occurred prior to the adoption of tougher sanctions.
