Maybe I'm looking at this too superficially.
SHSU beat ULL last year and had Nola on the ropes.
DBU was in a Super Regional in 2011.
aTm was the last SEC team in. Texas missed the field of 64 the last 2 years.

That might be a bad analogy since Pac 12 has more basketball titles all time.
But yeah just 2 in the last 40 years.

I was just saying that a conference isn't "best" just because it won a bunch of national championships lately--unless you are truly dominant like SEC Football.
But if you judged just by NC's, you could argue that the ACC is the second best conference during the BCS era.
But if you judged just by NC's, you could argue that the ACC is the second best conference during the BCS era.

Yeah totally agree..I was just taking the thunder out of what he will be coming back with
I think its also dumb when people talk about prior seasons when arguing points about who should host, or national seeds.
Pac 12 has had some success but they only got 1 host and 5 bids this season because thats what they deserved this season.
