Yep. It was not intentional

This keeps being mentioned but intent does not and should not be brought into this conversation. They weren't suppose to consider intent in their decision.

There's no sense in trying to rationalize it at this point. The league couldn't suspend a star player on their best team in the playoffs.

You literally cannot know this for sure. Just like someone else can't know for sure if it was intentional.

Completely agree with this. And if you're not positive it was intentional I don't think you can suspend him.

You mean the NBA gives special treatment to important players? Color me shocked.

Scary precedent to set.

I don't understand how the league can upgrade it to a Flagrant-2 and NOT suspend him?

If he had been properly given a F-2 in the game he would be ejected from that game and miss time. That's the rule. If you later upgrade it to a F-2, he should still miss time.

Makes no sense when that bench player for the Cavs gets suspended for something similar just days before on something WAYYYY less apparent.

Even if he didn't mean to do it, he definitely meant to flop, which should be shut down real quick. A suspension would stop stupid flopping and kicking.

If he was considered a "thug" or a non-star, you can bet he would have been suspended.

Twice in 2 games is coincidence.

Someone should go out there and kick Steph in the balls if all you get is a Flagrant 2.

There is no precedent. They don't enforce rules consistently. Isaiah Thomas smacked Schroder in the head on purpose and they only upgraded nothing to a flagrant 1, which was pointless.
