Last summer really screwed multiple teams. I'm not sure the Blazers recover. I should start praying for Leonard to be sent somewhere cuz it'll take a miracle.

So with the cap going down will we see teams paying the luxury tax or see teams dumping salaries and good players to weaker/ bad teams

I'd imagine the Warriors are in great shape.

They're over the cap with 6 players and no one meaningful aside from the big 4 signed. They are begging for KD to take a massive paycut

What was it last year?

Down overall or down from projections?

I think the Warriors were cutting it close trying to bring back Iggy and Livingston. They wanted Durant to accept like 4 million less in order to be able to sign those guys. Now maybe that amount Durant needs to leave on the table is even more? Not sure though.

They basically have to package turner and 2 picks to get out of that

The cap is also affected by the playoff pool...we had probably 10-12 less playoff games this year than we usually do. Playoff games bring in HUGE revenue. Pay for a more competitive playoffs next year

It was $94 million but this time last year, they were projecting it to be $107 million for the 2017-18 season.

I actually like Turner

Turner would be difficult to move but he's actually good at basketball. Hopefully year 2 with a more consistent rotation (he looked better post ASB after being moved to the starting lineup) he'll start to play up to par.

I think we'll have to move either Harkless or some combo of pick plus Connoughton or Layman to move Leonard.

The lack of playoff games is just another reason why super teams are bad for basketball.

Thanks, Lebron.

Which is why people saying things like "well viewership from game 1 last year vs game 1 this year is up!". The issue is the lack of games, not a total viewership in one game.

The question is, how will Chauncey manage this?
