Gordon Heyward isn't worth a max deal even if he made an All-NBA third team.

He's a damn good basketball player and, apparently, the city of Boston hates black people.

He'll make billions.

You can watch the lottery in its entirety on Yahoo.
No, you can't. You don't know what you are watching if you think that's how it works.

Didn't the players demand the voting shite in their last CBA?

Players rigged the league against themselves?

You're on the wrong board. I think you were looking for the "I don't know shite about sports" board

ETA: I see you have 1 upvote. Sweet job upvoting yourself because no one would upvote this dumbfrickery you call a post. Also, the drawing is done by Ernst & Young, one of the biggest accounting firms in the world. They would be incredibly dumb to risk their reputation by rigging ping pong balls determining which basketball player goes where.

So max contracts are based upon voting by humans.

This is not an accurate statement. Max contracts are based on your number of years in the league (and whether or not a team is willing to pay you that much money). There are 3 levels of Max, 25%, 30% and 35% of the cap. The new Designated Player Extension allows players that meet certain requirements to get access to the 35% level of Max 2 years earlier than they normally would similar to how the "Rose Rule" let's certain guys on their 2nd contract get access to the 30% level Max early. Were you equally outraged when that rule was added to the 2011 CBA? Because the media vote on the MVP too which is a criteria of the Rose Rule. Most people thought it was a good thing that someone voted by 3rd parties to MVP or All Star starts could get paid more.

Also, the players agreed to the system that lets the media decide whether they get what is essentially a productivity bonus in the CBA. If they had wanted this decided by a "vote of their peers" I really don't think the league would have objected. Whether it's the fans, players, coaches or media voting the problem is that there are always going to be "snubs" simply because there's not much separating the 3rd team All NBA players and the top "Honorable Mention" players.
