Tragic Johnson, Lakers jumping Phoenix to draft Lonzo Ball. What a joke! Can't wait to see both fail!

What about all those small market teams over the years that got top three picks?

Those don't count!

Not a bad melt, but very generic.

Not sure why it matters. This is a weak draft, and lakers are shite no matter who they get

There's no doubt NBA protects the Lakers and Celtics.

Which is why the Celtics got the first pick in the 1997 draft and picked the best PF of all time Tim Duncan.

We all know something has always been up with the NBA...as pure entertainment.

I mean Lakers-Kings?

Frozen envelope?

Even Macho Man wouldn't have bought into the Lakers-Kings script to the refs.

It's a deep draft actually. Suns will draft the best guard available to add to the 10 they already have on the roster.

Idk, I wouldn't call it a weak draft, but outside the top 10-12ish, its mostly safe low ceiling players or high upside, high bust players.

When we look back at this draft, its likely to be similar to 2013. A lot of good players but only one maybe two complete standouts.

Ok the frozen envelope was suspect af, but that Lakers vs. Kings game was called right down the middle........

I ask these every year. The NBA wanted KAT in Minnesota and not LA two years ago, but wanted to help a shoe dad this year?

The lottery is one of the NBAs biggest problems. It destroys any hope for parody in the league.

Half the time, I think people must be trolling, then you encounter something like this and wonder....are people really that dumb?

This isn't dumb, its telling the truth, outside the lottery this draft is kind of overrated.

Or were you replying to me?

I don't think bringing up the Timberwolves is a great way to dissuade NBA draft conspiracy theorists. They've been in the lottery 21 times and have never improved their draft position. They best they hope for is to hold their spot

.

Why is it a conspiracy? It's business.

That's how people love to belittle others pointing out smart business decisions. Conspiracy.

NBA is a business.

I'd be more apt to call you asleep to reality.

The aspect of sport is what they sell.

You've seen the fraud on Wall St. The last 10 years, housing crises, margin call...fraud, lying, cheating to promote a false reality to make money.

It still amazes me rubes still look at sports leagues as like just sports, like it's youth soccer.

It's not just some yokel rec league, people aren't just showing up to knock the ball around.

Pro leagues are in one business and that is making money and they have no oversight and can mostly do what they want.

These are billion dollar businesses, they have an owner directed mandate to make a shite load of dough.

Certain markets make way more money than others but only if they have star players.

This isn't high school - this is for profit massive companies with enormous influence who didn't buy a team just to watch basketball and hope for the best.

You think McDonald's just accepts que sera sera if the McRib doesn't sell? They tweak their product to sell. And in basketball it's easy to do with so much subjectiveness.

Unless Ernst & Young is in on it as well, the lottery was legit.

Yup. They will find the conspiracy in everything. Arguing with them is an exercise in futility.
